New .co domains

I am new to the scene of casino affiliates and have heard recently that .co domains are now on order. Is anyone contemplating on registering their own top level domain? I would be interested to hear your views.

    What extension is .co for? An industry or geo location?

    Seems to me that the extensions really don't matter that much in SEO anymore... but I'm no expert.
