Do you find it odd that Pokerstars and Full tilt doesnt have a LINK to the pokerrooms Rules in the software.. you have accually search on the webiste.. really the only people that see it are the people looking for it.. Dont you think it should be in a place where the players is going to see it.. I wouldnt care normally but when pokerstars just gives warning to player who break these rules repeatly, and they get small warnings. i have a huge problem with it.. hell at least have the rules in a spot where most can see..

  • wow this is just scary.. i ask any one that reads this please ask your pokerroom this question..

What is generally done to people who share hand info during a hand, What type of punishment are handed down for those type of rule breakers?

So far ZERO of the USA accpeted sites have been able to answer that.. Sites that have live chat, have no clue to the answer and ensure me that i will have an answer in 48 hours.. sites that have email sent me a script from the Terms of Service Stating the rule, instead of stating how they enforce the rule like i ask. have reapeted to ask with no answers from any room yet.. Will update this thread once i do..

very suprising not to get a answer on really a serious question.. i think one that should be answered before any person depsoit money onto a site..
  • I think there more us players can do.. The players are what makes the industry run.. Players need to organize.. theres need to be a group like the PPA, where it fights for players rights ...
for hand sharing to go on with no inferance isnt right to each and every player Paying the sites rake.. We pay rake for a service, not a sub-par service.. I put alot of pokerstars Just because they are the biggest and money shouldnt be an object when its comes to implemting security measures.. but ALL online rooms really fail short, some are better then others.. but there help that is needed to makes these rooms bigger.. Us players need to organize for the goodness of the game..

Whats really sad IT has to always Start with us players...

I guess the only thing you can do at this point (other than complain) is wait for the regulations to kick in and see if that helps. Sounds like an easy answer to a complex question, but I am not really a "tech" guy, and I can't imagine how else to police a virtual poker room with 30,000 players seated.

I'm certain there are chat records and hand histories that could be reviewed. Heck, players are the ones who busted the AP/UB scams... so we know it can be done. But without regulation, poker rooms will try to balance security with profits... and we all know which will win that battle. =0)

  • jtodd i really care less as to abusive languagae and such because you can always use the mute feature..

What my problem is when a poker room doesnt have a link to thier table rules (I.E. :Hand sharing during a hand of play, Sharing of player notes in middle of play, ect.) Those are the type of rules breaks that make me mad.. In a casino they can be addressed right there on the spot.. Online however, you have to write an email in middle of the game (or after) Where the guy could of done it reaptly to a player in the game no warning in the game.. So them you email support, you wait, wait some more, then they reply 2 hours later sending it to the right department.. (by all means why dont they give us MULTPLE SUPPORT email addresses that way we can send it to the right department, rather then having an extra 2 hour wait.. where that same guy could be doing it at the next table(S) he is playing, STILL with no warning...
Then after its reviewed then pokerstars emails the victims and says they have been warned and nothing much more could be done.. As they dont want to punish there players rather educate them on first offencses.. Which is fine.. But i feel The PokerRooms in the industry are doing the player the wrong way here..

SHOW me where on the software where the Pokerroom Rules are? A simple link from the software Would help educate the players more on this then having it hide on the webiste.. Really only people that see the rules are the people who sought out to find them.. The rules should find the player.. I suggested before on Real Money depsoit a screen comes up with the rules then a box at the bottom saying do you understand qand you check the box.. Right there the player is educated...

What really bugs me about this issue. is the victim is always the victim.. Pokerstars thinks as long as someone doesnt do it multiple tmes are warned its ok, and they do nothing to put the rules out there for other to see..

The way i look at it i pay a rake to play i can play anywhere weather its online or one of the many casino here in st. louis area.. Why cant pokerstars put a simple link to the rules from the software.. Why cant they make the rules more apparnt to the players.. Its just piises you off when you have two buddies at the table and in middle of the hand they say i had the when the boartd is 99K and your the aggressor, changes the game.. Or if one guy is giving a player notes that he has.. i have been victim to this and i see it go down right in front of me.. yet the victim can get screwed of the buyin. where the rulebreaker should Know that isnt okay. when most do..

At very least Online PokerRooms should have A simple link to thier rules on thier software Not hiding on the website.. Whats accually funny asking support where thier Pokerrooms Rule page is.. Hell most times they dont even know.

Really what needs to happen.. Online casino/pokerrooms try to act like a brick and mortor all the time. But they FALL WAY short on the support side with issues.. When in fact it should be easier then a casino when we have the technology at most of these rooms.. to have a Pitboss/floorman Live chat, and a dealer chat (moderator chat, like what stars has but with a liitle bit more admistrative duties)...

Theres alot the pokerrooms could do, but they choose not to..

JTODD i ask you this what can i do as a player other then to complain to these sites?

    Thanks,
    -Brandon
  • Hi Brandon...

It's a shame that so much rule breaking and abuse goes on in virtual poker rooms. I myself have learned to ignore those who curse at me, bombard with insults, and on the rare instance threaten me. My best weapons against them atr humor and the mute feature =0)

I wish poker rooms could do a better job policing these people, but I do understand that it's so overwhelming with the volume of chat. I mean, they can't even stop spammers who pop in just to type their URL's into the chat box, so how affective will they be with a random "F" bomb or rant? LOL!

I guess that... when playing online... we have to tollerate a a few things that would have these idiots tossed out of most real casinos on their butts. But who knows what the technology of the future will bring us. =0)
