WARNING: Gambling Wages

EDIT: We have left the Gambling Wages Challenge in tact in this thread. Our intentions in dealing with Gambling Wages were to recover player funds, and we were reasonably successful in doing so. After two trips to Costa Rca, the APCW was able to secure over $11,000 in outstanding payments to players that had gone unpaid for a long period of time. We also made an effort to assist Gambling Wages by consulting with them on things we felt were best to change in regard to their policies dealing with bonuses and big wins, so that they more reflect a modern and main stream way of conducting business. This was met with verbal enthusiasm and no apparent follow up from the Gambling Wages team. There are still several issues with Gambling Wages, including tens of thousands in unpaid winnings and terms and conditions which are not player friendly. The APCW therefore has issued a "WARNING" for all players about the Gambling Wages properties, and extends this "WARNING" to all Virtual Casino Proprties as well. Gambling Wages was removed from APCW Sponsorship in 2009. ====================================================== Welcome to the Gambling Wages Challenge. This is where players and webmasters who have issues with the Gambling Wages program (or the casinos they market for) can list their complaints. Over the next several weeks, the APCW will select one (1) player and one (1) webmaster out of all the complaints listed. That player and webmaster will then be invited to accompany myself and the APCW Auditing Director to San Jose, Costa Rica, to present their complaint to Gambling Wages management in person and on camera for our Perspectives Weekly podcast. The selected player and webmaster will have their air travel and hotel payed by Gambling Wages, and will be the guests of APCW and the affiliate program management during their stay. If you are unable or unwilling to travel during the first ten days of October, please say so in your statement below. Other than that, we only have one rule: You must articulate your complaint, and it must be a legitimate complaint. Please do not simply post "they suck" or any other non-specific statement. If you have a real issue as a customer or an affiliate of theirs, please do list all the details. Any post which is not a specific complaint will not be considered for the travel to Costa Rica and may be removed at our discretion. Any post which is threatening or vulgar will absolutely be removed and the poster banned from this site.

  • It's nice to be able to contact someone at an affiliate program, but if you contact them and they tell you they will do something and it never gets done then what is the point.

I have an affiliate account at GW that I earned just under $500 on last year before I stopped linking them that has not been paid. I have tried for almost a year and finally given up. Every time I contacted them they would give me a different reason why it wasnt paid out and then tell me it will get paid out next month and it never did get paid out. They just don't seem to be able to pay the money they owe.

  • Thanks JTodd.

I didn't even think about the W.U. docs. I assumed you meant docs from Mystic, til I read your reply. I'm anxious to see how Mystics case turns out. If she indeed met any terms associated with the win she had, but never was paid, I'd like to see that wrong made right. That seems to be separate from the W.U. issue, so is there any news on Mystics case?

And Jay, you know I think you're doing a great job. I know how much time goes into replying to posts and private messages, let alone everything else you do. Which is a lot I know. I don't imagine you get much sleep. ;) Keep up the good work!

Hi Tom, we did receive your generous contribution to the hurricane victims... and we thank you so much! As well as for your prayers.

My mother is in high spirits, but she's had heart issues in the past and now they are worried she has somehow contracted tuberculosis, of all things. It would be a great mystery how she contracted this... if the tests come back positive. It takes a few days to get the results, and in the meantime we must visit her wearing masks for protection... just in case.

The documents we are waiting on are from Laurie Jim and from Western Union. Once we receive those she will be getting her cash. Also, Gambling Wages will be sending us some paperwork about the other cases, which will help us resolve the other issue.

There is also a webmaster issue we're working on, and the complaint we have about Bingo123.
  • Hi ya...

    Hi JTodd,

I'm very sorry to hear about your mother, and hope she recovers her health.

You said you're waiting for documents from the player, that you've not received yet. Can you tell us what kind of documents you're waiting for, that the casino wouldn't have already had previously?

    Thanks J...

The documents we were waiting for have not arrived yet. Most of what we're waiting for needs to come from the players themselves.

I just got back yesterday and am dog tired. I've been at the hospital all day as my mother is not well. We're planning on a return trip to Costa Rica in a few weeks, and this will be resolved by that time.

I sincerely do hope your mom gets well soon J, these documents you are referring to are also documents that Mystic still needs to get to you ?

  • J Todd, just wanted to see if all of us from Casinomeister and the other forums that are following and concerned about the GW/POC and Mysticjoz issue could maybe get some sort of update as to where this issue currently stands now, since GW have now had three weeks to respond to this...I know you previously said you were waiting to receive some sort of documents...I would imagine that you had probably received those? And is there any initial response at all from GW regarding this issue that you can now share with us ? Thanks, Rob
  • Glad you're back from Barcelona. Have you heard anything regarding POC and Mysticjoz. This is an issue that certainly needs to be addressed if Gambling Wages is to become legit again.
