Dino's is mine, biiiiiiiiiiiiiitch!

For those of you who don't know, or just never paid attention when I posted these stories at other forums, I play in a weekly live game over at Dino's in Ferndale, Michigan. Dino's is a pretty cool little bar, and about 25-30 people play in this game every Monday night. No cost to get into it, and at the end of the "season" (usually 10-12 weeks) the top 10 point earners for the season come back for the season-ender - cool bar and beer/liquor swag to be won here!So Monday night I pick up Harry to head to our weekly card game over at Dino's. Harry is greatly amused when I tell him my casino story from the weekend before. This drunken married bitch propositioned me to go back to her room while her husband "loses his ass" at the poker tables, which I turned town pretty quickly (but politely). Fukk me running!Anyways, we get our standard 3 sliders, and John the bartender makes the wisecrack that I'll probably win this week, since my $50 gift certificate to the bar for winning a few weeks is running out with this meal.I sit down after drawing for seats with Gary, Dick, Mike, and some guy who's dating the cute girl in the game (I can't remember his name - but he's a decent enough fellow, however)...ah, picking up blinds and stealing pots might work at this table, but big pots probably won't be happening. I ran my starting chipstack of 1800 up to 3800 after knocking out the younger guy who's name I can't remember, then our table broke up after that hand.First hand at my new table, and Soulpatch Guy's brother decides to jam his last 900 into the middle. I have A-J in the SB, and call, figuring his range is pretty wide here. Wine-Drinker Ron calls off 75% of his stack, and when an ace hits on the flop, I put him all-in, and he turns over rags. Jack on turn gives me 2-pair, dodge 2 outs at the end, and with a double-knockout we're already down to 3 at this table. New player comes in - I take a couple of small pots, then I cripple Cheryl (host of the game) when she bet out 2/3 of her stack on the river, and I nearly insta-call with a measely pocket pair of 3's - on a board of J-7-7-9-4...she loves to bet and play the draws, and it was an easy call. She busted out a couple of hands later to my A-2, much to Scott's admiration, since this is his favorite hand. It's final table time as we're down to 10 - 2nd hand in I bust Gary with the monsterous 3-4 soooooted after I hit a wheel on the flop. Scott is pissed to laydown J-J after I check-raise him in-all after the turn when a second 5 pairs, and he just can't get over my call with 3-4...but with 3500 in the pot, and only 800 to call his little UTG min-raise of 800, I'm not sure why he thought I should have folded. Dick is next to bust out when my A-6 holds up against his A-4.Stevo goes out next when Scott runs A-A over him - Moshman's strategy didn't quite work that time, unfortunately. Scott then cripples Vic when his 5-5 beats his A-J, then I finish Vic off with A-K over A-4 the next hand - no suckout/re-suckout like what happened last week between us.I get Nicole out a few hands later (down to 6 now) when my A-9 pwns the J-10. Fred takes care of PJ and Ronnie in a matter of couple of hands, and we have a ballgame here. I knew it wouldn't take long for Fred and Scott get in their inevitable tangle, and Scott takes Fred out to get to HU with me up 3-1.Ridiculous sequence of hands when we get to HU, and it doesn't last long at only 4 hands. 1st hand I fold rags after seeing a flop for cheap. 2nd hand in I get 8-8. I make the SPFR to 3000 (blinds at max of 500/1000 now), Scott calls - I hit set of 8's on flop, check to Scott, who immediately says that he puts me all-in with his top pair-weak kicker. I insta-call and flip over my set of 8s here, and now I have chip-lead once his hand doesn't suck out.Next hand is a pre-flop fold from Scott, then the next hand I look down and see 8-8 again. Internally, I chuckle before making my SPFR to 3000, Scott calls. Flop is 8-9-5 (2 clubs), this time I bet out 2/3 pot (I don't play the same hand the same way every time), and Scott pushes all-in. I tell him he ain't gonna believe what I have again, and flip over my 8-8 for another set! Scott has K-9 clubs, so I'm not out of the woods yet. A 5 on turn gets me boat, I manage dodge the one out to make a straight flush, and I win for the 2nd time this season. So I get another $50 to play with at the bar....We goin' to Sizzzzzzler, we goin' to Sizzzzzzzler!
